Kingsgate Bid Writing
Public sector bids for construction consultancies
We write your tender submissions at no cost to you, and you only pay if you decide to submit one.
Three reasons to work with us
You're probably not winning all the projects you should be, and it usually comes down to three things.
You bid for a fraction of the work you want
The people who would write your bids are the people running your projects. When a project needs them, the bid is the first thing to go.
You never see some of the tenders
Councils, schools and health bodies advertise every week across several portals. Few practices have anyone with a spare hour to look.
The bids you do send aren't your best work
They get written in the evenings, squeezed around delivery, and they rarely show what the practice can do.
Our process for writing winning bids
From the tender you pick to the version you upload.
Step 1
Choose the tender
One you have found, or one we suggest from what has been advertised that week.
Step 2
Send us the pack and a few past bids
Exactly as they are, so we learn your projects and how your practice writes. There is no need to tidy anything.
Step 3
We plan and draft
We read the full pack and the scoring, work out what a full-marks answer needs, and send you a complete draft with questions in the margin.
Step 4
You read it and comment
You read the draft, then we have a short call. Your comments come back in writing, which keeps a clear record of what you have confirmed.
Step 5
You submit
You get the final version at least a day before you upload it, with practical notes for the buyer's portal.
Our no-submit, no-fee guarantee
We write the bid at no cost to you. If you like it and decide to submit it, there is a flat fee, plus a success fee if you win. Both are agreed with you before we start. If you would rather not submit it, you owe us nothing.

Your information stays with you
Before you send us anything, you receive a signed confidentiality undertaking. You don't need to sign or return it. It commits us to using your material only for your bids, not passing it to anyone without your written permission, not using it for any other client, and deleting or returning it whenever you ask.
Once you have said yes to a tender, we won't write that tender for any other firm.
